Installation requirements:
MyDbEditor is a J2EE web application which can be run on your local PC or can be accessed through the network.
It requires the following to be installed:
- Java JDK 1.4 or higher
- J2EE compliant webserver (e.g. Apache Tomcat, Jboss AS)
The Java JDK and Apache Tomcat are available for download for free.
You can run MyDbEditor on any operating system for which a Java JDK is available (Windows, Linux, Mac OS, AIX, ...).
You can download the JDK from http://java.sun.com.
You can download the Apache Tomcat from http://tomcat.apache.org/.
Tested configurations:
We tested using the following configurations:
- Apache Tomcat 5.0.28, JDK 1.4.2 and JDK 1.6
- Apache Tomcat 6.0.16, JDK 1.6
- Jboss Application Server 4.0.5, JDK 1.4.2 and JDK 1.6
- Jboss Application Server 4.2.2, JDK 1.6
